Dear Friends, Last year, one of our employees informed me that the City of Cerritos takes part in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Having been involved in the Relay for Life for the past 10 years, I was very proud that our employees were so eager to join such a worthy cause. Now I know you must be asking, "what is the Relay is for Life?" The relay is an overnight event that brings our community together to help support the American Cancer Society and its lifesaving mission to eliminate cancer as a major health problem. The Society works hard every day to prevent cancer and save lives by supporting groundbreaking research, affecting public policies that protect us from cancer, and educating people on how to prevent or detect cancer early. The Society helps people with cancer right here in our own community. And our efforts at Relay for Life can help the American Cancer Society to keep working toward a cancer-free future. With a team of 24 employees we fundraised, walked and had a fantastic time raising $6,000 to help support the American Cancer Society. We hope that you will help in reaching our goal of $10,000. Please click on the link below for more information to make a donation to support our efforts? You will make a real difference in the lives of people facing cancer – and in the lives of the people who love them. http://www.acsevents.org/relay/ca/cerritos/pfice Sincerely, Peter M.
